Located in Karachi, Sindh, the stadium has hosted countless international matches since its opening and remains a central venue for Pakistan’s cricket calendar.

In recent years, the stadium has undergone major renovations between 2025 and 2026, upgrading its infrastructure to meet international standards for major tournaments such as the Champions Trophy and Pakistan Super League (PSL).

Pavilion and Infrastructure

One of the biggest improvements during the 2025–2026 renovation was the construction of a new five-story pavilion building.

This modern pavilion includes:

  • Media and broadcast facilities
  • Administrative offices
  • Premium hospitality areas

The pavilion also houses 24 luxury hospitality boxes designed for corporate guests and VIP spectators.

2. Seating Capacity

The stadium currently has a seating capacity of approximately 30,000 spectators.

Earlier configurations held around 28,000 spectators, but the recent upgrades increased capacity while improving seating comfort.

Many sections now feature new foldable chairs, although several stands remain open-air without roofs.

3. Stand Structure and Enclosures

The stadium seating is divided into several named enclosures, many of which honor legendary Pakistani cricketers.

Some of the major stands include:
